Horses have no "ego". Their place in the pecking order is based on their authentic confidence and who they really are. Throughout their lives they jostle and adjust to their place in the herd with absolute honesty and total vulnerability.
A big ego- often accompanied by overconfidence, arrogance, inflexibility, and lack of humility- is the ultimate house of cards. The superiority machinations are really a huge coverup for emotions of inferiority, insecurity, and fear of vulnerability.
Our ego shows up in our reaction to feedback or criticism.
How do you respond to feedback, and what does your response tell you about yourself?
