Smart CEO’s are saying: “Get me more leaders who have 3 traits:
Business sense, good people skills, and courage of their convictions
Very often a leader will excel at one or two of these, yet hit a career plateau when they need all three. In this global economy we need whole leaders with all three traits, and organizations of all sizes are realizing that this type of leadership cannot be built using classroom training alone.
Science continues to prove that our heart and core are involved in all our interactions, and especially in our leadership. Recent scientific research shows a growing body of evidence that the heart plays a significant role in how we live, how we learn, and how we lead. Far more than a simple pump, the heart now is recognized by scientists, as a highly complex system with its own functional “brain.” Our core, too, plays an integral part in our decision making and leadership. Science proves there is a direct connection and constant communication from our gut directly to our brain, and our “gut feel” plays an important part in emotion and intuition.
Accessing and using all three of our three brains—our head, heart and core- is a skill beyond language and logic. Learning to integrate the wisdom of our head, heart and core brings clarity, connection, and courage to our leadership. It requires awareness and patience. We learn integrate this wisdom of all three brains via experience and intentional practice—not via traditional classroom learning. The beauty of this integrated approach is that once learned, it can be accessed and used anytime we choose. We already have the intelligence and wisdom--we simply need awareness and practice to use it. Using “all of us” brings forward an entirely new level of self-awareness, other awareness, and in an altruistic way, it can lead to higher self-actualization.
